Photographs look like a small detail, but blurred or wrong photos are a frequent reason for queries. After registration, Rule 18 also requires you to display your registration certificate and GSTIN at your place of business, and officers check this during visits.
Some officers ask for photographs of the place of business, especially for new businesses, shared premises or address amendments. A useful set shows the building front with the address visible, the entrance with your name board, and the inside of the premises in use. Where your area is geo-tagged on the portal, make sure the pin is placed at the actual premises.
Under Rule 18, a registered person must display the registration certificate at a prominent location at the principal place and every additional place of business, and display the GSTIN on the name board at the entry. Missing signage is often noted in physical verification reports.
Upload a fresh, clear photo or the requested premises photos with your REG-04 reply within the time stated. If a verification noted missing signage, put up the board, display the certificate and keep dated photographs as proof.
